For Sale – 2003 AM General HUMMER 4 Door Opentop (HMCO) – ONE OF A KIND!This HUMMER is truly a one of a kind collector’s item ….Own a true piece of AM General History….Forget the 40 Slantbacks, 65 10th Anniversary wagons, and 700+ Alphas….Built, maintained, and owned by AM General. Between 2004-2008, this vehicle was used by AM General as an accessory display and event truck.…driven by AM General Authorized personnel ONLY…. and was NEVER driven in winter months. In those winter months, it was stored in climate controlled garage. When GM announced that the HUMMER brand would be coming to a close, AM General decided to sell a portion of the company’s factory executive vehicles. Upper management selected the vehicles that would be offered to employees. This truck was picked and offered to an employee that has been with AM General since 1994. Once purchased, the truck was completely restored in the AMG Tech Center. AM General allowed the trucks to be refurbished and returned to showroom condition before the owner took delivery. This was about 15k miles agoFor 2007, AMG was going to offer a 2-tone paint scheme available for the first time from the factory for an additional charge. 6 HUMMER’s were painted in the 2-tone scheme to “test run” the colors. This truck is one of them. It is said that 4 Alpha’s (2 opentops and 2 wagons) were painted 2-tone. The other two were a 2004 wagon and this 2003 opentop. This is the ONLY 2003 HUMMER painted in the 2007 paint scheme. The truck was also made to look like an Alpha. I had the car inspected at Tustin when I purchased it and Mike (the SoCal H1 Guru) said it was one of the cleanest trucks he has seen and recently had suspension serviced at Medved in Denver. All wear items on from suspension we’re replaced for $6k. Truck has a new harmonic balancer, new batteries and two new rear tires.
